- Do not forget travel moisturizer, travel pillows, headphones, chargers and checking your passport expiry date.
- No matter how confident you feel about your translation skills do not in a foreign country pick up what you thought was travel size moisturizer but is actually moisturizing body wash. Even if you’re sure the green Cetaphil is always the body lotion. Just. Don’t. Do. It.
- Make sure to pack no show socks (plenty of them) for your flats because all your shoes will stink from all the walking.
- Don’t eat plane food (I never learn).
- Return back giving yourself at least a day to rest and get back to real life.
- Do not fly with kids to Italy for a week or any overseas trip no matter how cheap it is.

- Do not, I repeat, do not get lost in your movie on the plane and let your kid have hot chocolate just before you are about to land because he/she will throw up. What a shame. Just when it was almost done. The others may be suspect but I can assure you I was not that parent.
- Do not travel without your sense of humor. With the many indignities of travel, that’s the one thing you cannot do without 🙂
