Not really 😉
This was a poem I wrote a while ago and since it’s poetry month and because, with school, work and family I haven’t been writing much at all, I’m going to post this old one!
The kids are fine
I’m not subscribing to HGTV digs
Just a roof, some privacy
A place to call mine
A blanket for warmth a fan when it’s hot
I’m not dressing for seasons anymore
My fashion won’t be fast
No holes and something that lasts
Would be divine
I’m bowing out of coveted vacations
Fancy occasions and wild celebrations
I’ll take my chances with a book
Banal thoughts, conversations
In pastoral nooks
Mediocre sounds outrageous
I won’t even aspire to it
Not by a stretch
Languorous deep breaths
Space, love and time
Eons from this rat race
A life that sublime
